Pro Steel Solutions is a construction and engineering contractor. We fabricate steelwork and architectural metalwork in our own workshop in Ash, Sevenoaks, and we erect what we make. The estimating side grew out of that: contractors kept asking us to price packages we weren’t bidding, because a builder’s takeoff reads differently from a spreadsheet exercise.
Today we measure the whole job — groundworks and drainage, frames in steel, concrete and timber, envelope, fit-out, building services, externals and preliminaries. We know what a connection costs to make because we make them. We know where a drawing is going to cause an argument on site, because we’ve had the argument.
